Volunteer in our shops

Every year we raise thousands of pounds from our charity shops. This money helps Cotswold Care Hospice care for and support patients and their families, We couldn't do it without the work and commitment of our shop volunteers.

We are always looking for volunteers who can spare a few hours a week to help us in our shops. We have 10 shops and each has a committed team of volunteers who work alongside a paid manager and deputy manager.

With the volunteers' support we could never run the shops and raise vital funds for the hospice.

There are many different roles that are covered by volunteers in each of our shops. These may include:

Accepting donations
Sorting
Steaming
Serving customers

We offer a great, friendly environment, on the job training, and the chance to help a good cause, so what’s stopping you?!

Volunteer Drivers needed

Cotswold Care Hospice is appealing for people with a few hours to volunteer each week to help with a new house collection service which begins later this year.

The Minchinhampton-based hospice runs a chain of 10 charity shops in the area which raise essential funds to pay for the care of patients throughout Gloucestershire.

These shops sell quality second hand goods which are donated by the local population but there is a huge need for donations each and every week of the year.

A new house collection service is being launched whereby drivers will be able to pick up donations including pieces of furniture from people’s homes.

The charity desperately needs some volunteers in order to make this service work. Volunteers would need clean full driving licences.

Norman Dadd, one of the few volunteer shop drivers at the hospice loves the time he spends on his round, said: “ I volunteer one day each week and visit all the shops, it can be hard work but its very rewarding knowing that its all for such a good cause.”
