Day therapy

Cotswold Care Hospice runs day therapy three days a week - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Our Day Therapy facilities offer opportunity for assessment and review of patients’ needs including:

Nursing
Physiotherapy
Occupational Therapy
Complementary Therapy
Creative Therapy
Counselling
Pastoral Care

With extensive experience as a Day Therapy unit, our service accommodates up to 17 people a day.

We welcome individuals with a range of potentially life-limiting illnesses and long-term conditions who may benefit from periods of personal support or provision of respite for carers.

Day Therapy provides a safe and comfortable environment in which to socialise with others in a similar situation. As well as providing a base for the day it also gives access to activities and therapies available through the Hospice Team.

Places are provided on the same day each week for an agreed period of time and are tailored to individual need.

Many people find that about three months of support is helpful however this is reviewed on an individual basis. Clients can be re-referred to Day Therapy following periods of support and at various points in their illnesses.
